CONCEPT

A couple’s breakup unfolds through a series of poignant, visual moments, leaving unresolved emotions lingering in the air. On New Year’s Eve, amidst the chaos of a glittering party, the woman’s thoughts dwell on him—until the final countdown reunites them in an unspoken, cinematic moment of love as the clock strikes midnight. This classic love story will be reimagined with a fresh and artistic approach, featuring two actors in a narrative interwoven with dynamic performance shots of Jake and Rosie, bringing emotional depth and connection to the music.

EXECUTION

The video will primarily be set in a cinematic music studio, featuring rich, atmospheric lighting that enhances the emotional tone of the story and performance.

Select scenes of the couple's journey will be filmed guerrilla-style around the city, capturing raw and authentic moments with a minimal footprint—just my camera and no crew. This approach ensures flexibility, avoids permit requirements, and allows for a natural, intimate feel that complements the narrative and the music.

MY PROCESS

Collaboration is key to making an impactful piece of art. I invite department heads to bring ideas that excite them to the table.
If an artist feels called to co-direct a project, I will share and fly the cockpit together.
I plan everything, from the storyboards to the music I play on set. It's my job to create a space where the artist and crew feel connected and in sync.
Let's come prepared, but be open to finding gold in the moment. Like modern art, I let the creativity come to me and discern what is best for the story.
Editing my work allows me to compose the story in my mind as we go, which is a critical component of a cohesive emotional experience.
