DISCONNECTED

WHAT MIGHT FEEL DARK TO SOME IS A REGULAR DAY IN AN ARTISTS’S MIND. FINDING HARMONY WITH OUR SHADOW SIDE IS A WAR THAT ONLY ENDS WITH OUR FINAL BREATH.
THE PLACE BETWEEN THIS WORLD AND OTHER REALMS IS AN ENTICING MYSTERY. POKING OUR HEAD THROUGH THE VEIL RIPS OUR SOUL TO THE SURFACE FOR A VISCERAL SELF-CONFRONTATION.
THE FURTHER WE PUSH OURSELVES AS ARTISTS TO BRING BEAUTY INTO THE WORLD, THE HARDER OUR SHADOW SIDES COME TO CONSUME US.
THIS PIECE OF ART EXPLORES OUR COMPLEX RELATIONSHIP WITH THE YIN AND YANG OF THE UNIVERSE.

In "Disconnected," each band member faces their inner demons in surreal, haunting voids. Mitchel performs in a psychedelic smoky realm, battling his darker self as the smoke twists and contorts around him. Clinton lies beneath a guillotine, scissors in hand, playing with the rope that could end it all. Christian walks unwillingly through a crimson void toward a reaper, only to discover he is the reaper himself. Through these dark and visceral journeys, their individual struggles converge, blending story and performance into a visually stunning exploration of disconnection, self-confrontation, and the fragile choice to hold on.
MITCHEL
As the music builds, Mitchel becomes more animated, his contortions more erratic. The smoke shapes itself into ghostly hands or sinister faces, pulling at him as he struggles to maintain control. There’s a climactic moment where he appears ready to succumb and step off a ledge into the underworld —his reflection in the smoke solidifying into the evil version. At the last second, he screams into the void, breaking the vision, and the smoke momentarily clears, leaving him backlit in light.
CLINTON
Clinton’s scene begins with the rhythmic sound of the blade swaying above him, matching the beat. His oversized scissors shine under a dim, flickering light as he toys with the rope. The tension builds as strands fray, each representing a moment of hesitation or resolve. Flashbacks of fleeting memories (perhaps of family or childhood) flicker around him, but his face remains stoic. At the climax, the final thread is about to snap, but Clinton lets the scissors drop and rolls out from under the blade, symbolizing a choice to live.
CHRISTIAN
Christian walks in the red void, his movements sluggish as if dragged by an unseen force. The reaper stands tall and imposing in the distance, its scythe reflecting the void’s crimson glow. Christian’s walk mirrors a descent into despair, his face contorted with anguish. As he kneels before the reaper, the camera reveals the reaper’s face—his own. The moment lingers as he reaches out and removes the hood, symbolizing self-confrontation. The reaper vanishes, leaving Christian alone, yet visibly transformed, standing with newfound resolve.
